Wine Flight Social's
Wine Tasting Experiences
Starting from £30 per person, all wine tasting flights are tailored to you.
What makes a good Wine Flight Social?
First we start by deciding on a theme based on what type of wine you would like to try. To help get you thinking about your bespoke Wine Flight Social, below are a few popular themes. Whether you would like to use one of these themes, or have another idea, I’ll work with you to create your own personalised experience.
Whatever theme you choose, my aim is to make the event fun, informative, and as social as we can. I want to show you that you don’t need to be an expert to be able to enjoy a diverse selection of wine, without being overwhelmed with wine jargon or sounding like a wine bore. Armed with a few key pieces of knowledge and some easy tips, I can help you build your confidence to explore the wonderful world that is wine, and to find the ones you like and the ones you don’t.

Focus on Fizz
Champagne, Prosecco, Asti, Cava, Crémant, Pet Nat – who knew there were so many names for wines with bubbles!

New World vs Old World
A classic theme where we compare wines using the same grapes from European countries vs the rest of the world, or a specific country like Australian wine vs French wine.
Same Place
A selection of different wines, all from the same country or region of your choice.
This could even focus close to home with English wine or Kent wine for example.

Beginners Red Wine
This wine flight looks to gently acclimatise your taste buds, where we will taste low tannin wines, like Pinot Noir, as opposed to a high tannin Cabernet Sauvignon.
Pick a Grape
Here we take a grape, for example Chardonnay, and build a flight that showcases the different styles of wine a single grape variety can produce.

Focus on Food
A wine flight specifically to match a menu of your choice, a food of your choice (think cheese!) or even your favourite takeaway.

What areas of the UK do you cover?I am based in West Kent, so typically cover southern & eastern home counties, plus south, east and central London (subject to potential additional travel costs). However, if you are outside of these areas please get in touch for a chat.
-
How long does the flight last? For tasting of 6 wines you should allow 1.5 - 2 hours. Please also allow for approximately 45 minutes for me to set up ahead of the tasting.
-
What do you supply as part of the Wine Flight Social?I supply each of the wines that are included in your Wine Flight Social, the tasting glasses, all materials (flavour guides, aroma kits, maps, photos and quiz questions), a list of wines tasted and where you can buy them. I am totally impartial – I sell knowledge and enjoyment, not wine!
-
Do you provide food?I believe that wine is best enjoyed with a small bite to eat. If you would like to include food as part of your event, such as Cheese or Charcuterie, I can supply this and we can discuss the options when planning your event. If the flight we design doesn’t specifically include food I can supply some basic nibbles. You can of course, provide your own. I hold a 5 - very good food hygiene rating from Tonbridge & Malling Borough Council.
-
How much does a flight cost?As each flight is a bespoke experience, based on your budget and theme, the best way to find out is to speak to me directly. However, to give you an idea, flights start at £30 per person based on 6 people, tasting 6 “house” – think everyday wines plus a welcome drink and a few nibbles.
-
Is there an ideal group size?Simple answer is no, as each flight is unique, I can cater for any size. Pricing is based on a minimum of 6 people, but I can cater for smaller groups. A typical in-home group size ranges from 6 to 15. Flights can also be designed for larger groups. Whatever size group you have in mind contact me and we can discuss further.
